Sec. Art Tugade's Proposed Solutions to End Traffic Problems in Metro Manila

The Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Sec. Arthur Tugade revealed some of the Transportation Department's plans and solutions on how to end the worsening traffic situation in Metro Manila.

Some of the major plans under the Duterte administration to ease the traffic includes the construction of Cable Cars, building modular bridges, implementing the Bus Rapid Transport and allowing companies to operate double decker bus in different parts of Metro Manila.

The project proposals on ending the worsening traffic problems in Metro Manila was presented by the Department to Transportation to the Senate in aid to request an Emergency Power for President Rody Duterte.

Aside from the project proposals prepared by the Transportation Department, Sec. Arthur Tugade also said that the Philippines needs a 30-year road map. Based on their study the country needs a government plan that is legislated, so that traffic experienced in EDSA will not spread in other cities in the country.

The traffic situation of Metro Manila is actually happening slowly in Cebu City. For the record, the Transportation Department revealed that a total of 27 bus terminals were all located in Cubao, and 14 bus terminals in Pasay City.

In Every 2 minutes there is a bus that goes in and out of the terminal. This actually contributes too much traffic in EDSA and transferring them to a strategic location will definitely ease traffic.

Included in the plans of the Transportation Department is to relocate their main officer to Clark Pampanga.

What do you think of these plans by the Transport Department? Are you willing to support the Duterte administration or not? Just add your comments in the space provided below and don't forget to Like and Share this post with your friends on social media.

You can pay at a restaurant by smiling at a camera

© Provided by Engadget As easy as it is to make purchases in the era of tap-to-pay services , it's about to get easier still. Alipay (which handles purchases for Chinese shopping giant Alibaba) has launched what it says is the first payment system that uses facial recognition to complete the sale. If you visit one of KFC's KPRO restaurants in Hangzhou, China, you can pay for your panini or salad by smiling at a camera-equipped kiosk -- you need to verify the purchase on your phone, but you don't have to punch in digits or bring your phone up to an NFC reader. The system (Smile to Pay) is purportedly resistant to spoofing with photos and other tricks. It relies on both depth-sensing cameras and a "likeness detection algorithm" to make sure it's really you. Reportedly, the technology is good enough that it can accurately identify people even when they're disguising themselves through makeup or wigs. You shouldn't have to worry about someone buying ...

Inflation weighs more than the exchange rate – economic team

© Provided by Mediamerge Corporation MONEY- peso dollar thumbnail Economic managers of the Duterte administration reiterated their stand on the recent depreciation of the peso against the dollar, saying that managing inflation is of utmost concern. "Managing the inflation rate rather than the exchange rate is more important for us," Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III told reporters during a forum organized by the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines in Manila on Tuesday. "Better to look at management of inflation rather than the management of exchange rate," Dominguez said. The foreign exchange rate is determined by market forces, the Cabinet official noted. "It's healthier to have an exchange rate that is determined by the market," Dominguez said. The government is targeting an inflation rate of 3 percent, ± 1 percentage point, in 2017 to 2019. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) earlier said that inflation remains ...
