Atty. Bruce Rivera Criticized Local Media for Unfair Treatment with Pres. Duterte

One of Pres. Rody Duterte's avid supporter on social media, Atty. Bruce Rivera defended the President anew amidst the black propaganda against the President. Aside from netizens who always side with Pres. Duterte, some of the president's loyal supporters on social media released statement defending the President.

Atty. Bruce Rivera made another headlines on social media after his post defending the President against the bias local media went viral in just a few hours after it was posted on Facebook.

The veteran lawyer from San Beda recalle te hostage crisis involving Hong Kong tourists way back the year 2010. During that time Pres. Aquino was the President which resulted to some outraged by Hong Kong citizens after they saw a photo of Pres. Aquino just smiling during the incident.

In defense of Pres. Aquino, local media triedto suppress the release of the controversial Aquino picture because it will cause not only humiliation for Pres. Aquino but it was a national humiliation. Sadly, the incident ended with all HK tourists deaths and HK media released the photo of smiling PNoy. Later report states that HK demanded PNoy to say sorry but the President did not apologize.

During Pres. Aquino's time the media was always there for Pres. Aquino, defending him at all cost but in the present administration of Pres. Duterte, everything change according to Atty. Rivera.

Here's the Viral Statement of Atty. Bruce V. Rivera:

HE IS OUR PRESIDENT.

Let me lay down the scenario. Early in PNoy's term, there was a potential international shame when a picture was taken of PNoy smiling in front of the hijacked bus in Luneta. Later, police operations caused the death of many HK tourists who were held hostage in that bus. Local media tried to suppress the release of the picture because it will cause not only the humiliation of PNoy but it was a national humiliation. Sadly, HK media released it. HK later on demanded PNoy to say sorry. HE DID NOT APOLOGIZE.

Why?

He said that what the police did was an act of state and considered correct based on international law because we are a sovereign state. We should not explain to HK the correctness of our police operations even if it resulted in the death of their citizens. Par in parem non habit imperium. HK got angry punished us with a visa requirement for PH official red passport. Erap had to apologize for Manila. Issue ba yun sa local media? No. We barely heard of it. It was suppressed. Because PNoy is our President that time. Kahihiyan niya, kahihiyan natin. This was an actual demand by HK to apologize which PNoy said NO on video.

Mayor Duterte answered a hypothethical question and not even an actual question that Obama asked. He answered in his usual irreverent self with the unfortunate use of profanities. It was not an actual answer to an actual question. But a hypothetical question which if asked would be improper for a head of state to ask another because that is a purely domestic issue na wala siyang pakialam.
And instead of protecting the President, our local media made it such a big deal prompting Obama to cancel meetings. Only in the Philippines where nationalism is a liability.

R. Tiglao Exposed LTO Records Showing Aquino Never Bought or Sold a Porsche

Veteran columnist Rigoberto Tiglao exposed the Land Transportation Office (LTO) records of former President Benigno Aquino III showing that he never bought or sold an expensive Porsche car. The LTO records proved that the former President did not sold his Porsche 911 Carrera car which he claimed he bought for P5 million. The controversial Porsche car of the former President made headlines just months into his presidency but he explained that he bought the luxury car with the proceeds he got when he sold his BMW. Because of the furor from such display of opulence, Pres. Aquino claimed to have sold it six months later for exactly the same price. According to Tiglao during that time he asked through his column the LTO to release the car's deed of sale and registration to prove that it was not a gift from a Chinese-Filipino tycoon as rumored by some individuals critical to the President. The only possible way to discover whether the Porsche luxury was indeed sold was through ...

You can pay at a restaurant by smiling at a camera

© Provided by Engadget As easy as it is to make purchases in the era of tap-to-pay services , it's about to get easier still. Alipay (which handles purchases for Chinese shopping giant Alibaba) has launched what it says is the first payment system that uses facial recognition to complete the sale. If you visit one of KFC's KPRO restaurants in Hangzhou, China, you can pay for your panini or salad by smiling at a camera-equipped kiosk -- you need to verify the purchase on your phone, but you don't have to punch in digits or bring your phone up to an NFC reader. The system (Smile to Pay) is purportedly resistant to spoofing with photos and other tricks. It relies on both depth-sensing cameras and a "likeness detection algorithm" to make sure it's really you. Reportedly, the technology is good enough that it can accurately identify people even when they're disguising themselves through makeup or wigs. You shouldn't have to worry about someone buying ...

Tesla cloud account hacked to mine cryptocurrency

© Provided by The Hill An unidentified outside hacker infiltrated Tesla's Amazon cloud account and used its systems to quietly mine for cryptocurrencies, a cybersecurity firm announced Tuesday. The hack also potentially exposed the electric car company's data. Researchers for RedLock found that Tesla's credentials on an IT administrative console were not password protected. They made the discovery while trying to track down which organizations had left their Amazon Web Services (AWS) credentials openly exposed on the internet last month. The hackers quietly hijacked the console and began running scripts to generate virtual currency like bitcoin, the latest in a series of "cryptojacking" attacks. The researchers also found the hackers used "sophisticated evasion measures" to go undetected. A spokesperson for Tesla said the company learned about the breach in a company-sanctioned bug bounty program that pays outside hackers to discover vulnerabilitie...
