A concerned netizen and a registered nurse made a revelations on social media revealing the possible reasons why the former Davao City Police SPO4 Arthur Lascañas turned against Pres. Rody Duterte and backtracked from his previous statements about the Davao Death Squad (DDS).
The viral open letter was shared by popular social media personality Sass Rogando Sasot. Most netizens thought that it was Monique Francois as the original author but she admitted that it came from Jose Lawrence Andrade RN. Francois also made a follow up comments that the post was originally posted by Joni Dizon.
No matter who the author is, the most important thing is the content of the viral open letter discussing the possible scenarios and reasons why SPO4 Lascanas turned against Pres. Duterte and now sided with the group of Sen. Trillanes.

I can see 3 scenarios kung bakit bumaligtad si Lacanas and all of them he has a lot to gain and nothing to lose. He is a kidney failure patient who had hemodialysis before he had kidney transplant.
Dialysis nurse ako and before I left the Philippines, 1 session of dialysis cost around P8000 x 3/week =P24,000/week +laboratories, mga gamot etc. So dapat ang hawak niyang pera ay atleast P30,000/week.
Siyempre, mas mahal na ngayon yan. Kidney transplant cost atleast P1 million pesos . Then he has to take anti-rejection tablets which depending on the brand can cost atleast P100 each , some brands need to be taken 2x/day.
Pero hindi lang naman yun ang gamot na iinumin, madami pa. So atleast P1000 per day ang gastos nya sa gamot. Then lagi pa yang magpapacheck up then bloodtest etc. I believe he is now retired? Yang pension nya kulang pa yan sa medical needs nya. So need nya money. That's my first scenario.
2nd , might be his kidney transplant is failing which mean he has to go back to dialysis . So again , need nya ng pera. 3rd, his kidney transplant is failing , his prognosis is bad because of his age and he is dying . So wala na syang paki kahit mamatay sya pero he is thinking wala syang maiiwang pera sa pamilya nya since lahat nga ng pera nya ay naubos na sa sakit nya. So again it came down to money. Mixed feelings ako dito.
Galit ako kasi bumaliktad sya dahil sa pera at sinisiraan nya si Duterete. Pero as a renal nurse I can understand how he needs to kapit sa patalim. I have a patient before and she said kahit ibenta nya kaluluwa nya ke satanas me pampadialysis lang , she will do it. It seems like binenta na ni Lascanas ang kaluluwa nya ke satanas aka Trillianes/LP.
