Phivolcs Confirms "The Big One" Earthquake Might Hit the Philippines Anytime

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) confirmed that anytime the West Valley Fault is now showing irregularities and could hit the Philippines anytime. "The Big One" as dubbed by Phivolcs could hit the Philippines once the West Valley Fault moves.

Phivolcs is now closely monitoring the two major faults or trench in the Philippines, that once it will move it could possible affect some larger parts of Luzon which includes the province of Pangasinan.

Aksyon Radyo Pangasinan reported first the statement of Phivolcs through their official Facebook Page.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the Province of Pangasinan noted that the San Manuel Fault Line in the province could be affected once "The Big One," hits the country. San Roque Dam in Pangasinan is one of the major infrastructure projects that could be affected once the San Manuel Fault Line moves.

Pangasinan's PDRRMC also warned the general public that four of the coastal towns could be affected by a possible Tsunami once the Manila Trench which is located at the West Philippine Sea moves.

In an interview with PDRRMC spokesperson Avenix Arenas, aside from Pangasinan, the province of Bulacan, Metro Manila and nearby provinces as well as Southern Luzon provinces could be affected by "The Big One."

Both the PDRRMC and Phivolcs urged the general public to be vigilant and be prepared once the Manila Trench moves particularly in the western parts, northwards up to the fourth district of Ilocos that face the West Philippine Sea.

Based upon scientific studies the possible Tsunami once "The Big One" hits the Philippines could reach up to 32 feet in height if ever a 6-8 magnitude earthquake hits, therefore a massive preparations and serious training are needed through earthquake drills by schools and government offices as well as the purchase of necessary hydraulic equipment since there's no way a government could predict "The Big One" to happen.

R. Tiglao Exposed LTO Records Showing Aquino Never Bought or Sold a Porsche

Veteran columnist Rigoberto Tiglao exposed the Land Transportation Office (LTO) records of former President Benigno Aquino III showing that he never bought or sold an expensive Porsche car. The LTO records proved that the former President did not sold his Porsche 911 Carrera car which he claimed he bought for P5 million. The controversial Porsche car of the former President made headlines just months into his presidency but he explained that he bought the luxury car with the proceeds he got when he sold his BMW. Because of the furor from such display of opulence, Pres. Aquino claimed to have sold it six months later for exactly the same price. According to Tiglao during that time he asked through his column the LTO to release the car's deed of sale and registration to prove that it was not a gift from a Chinese-Filipino tycoon as rumored by some individuals critical to the President. The only possible way to discover whether the Porsche luxury was indeed sold was through ...
