What residents in Sta. Mesa, Manila thought was a piece of rope turned out to be a snake, GMA News' Mav Gonzales reported on "Unang Balita."

The witnesses were taken by surprise when the "rope" started to move.
Barangay officials and residents proceeded to catch the three-foot snake, which will be turned over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
It is not known where the snake came from but residents said this is not the first time they encountered a reptile in their neighborhood. — BAP, GMA News
