UFC on FOX 27 medical suspensions: Three fighters get indefinite suspensions

Three fighters have been given indefinite medical suspensions as a result of potential injuries sustained during UFC on FOX 27. The North Carolina Boxing Authority released the event’s finalized medical suspension report Wednesday to MMA Fighting.

Undercard fighters Justin Kish (nasal fracture, right knee, left shoulder), Vinc Pinchel (right eye), and Austin Arnett (nasal trauma) will be forced to seek medical clearance before returning to active competition, per North Carolina commission officials.

Twelve other athletes also received extended medical suspensions due to potential damage suffered at UFC on FOX 27. The longest of those suspensions went to strawweight contender Randa Markos, who was given a potential 180-day suspension due to left knee pain following her unanimous decision win over Juliana Lima.

UFC on FOX 27 took place Jan. 27 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The night’s main card aired live on FOX.

A complete list of UFC on FOX 27’s medical suspensions can be seen below.

  • Justin Kish: Suspended indefinitely, requires medical clearance for nasal fracture (x-ray), right knee, and left shoulder
  • Vinc Pinchel: Suspended indefinitely, requires medical ophthalmology clearance on right eye injury
  • Austin Arnett: Suspended indefinitely, requires medical clearance for nasal trauma (x-ray for possible fracture); minimum suspension of 30 days due to TKO loss
  • Randa Markos: Suspended 180 days maximum for left knee pain (recommends MRI)
  • Derek Brunson: Suspended 30 days due to TKO loss
  • Dennis Bermudez: Suspended 30 days due to right foot
  • Jordan Rinaldi: Suspended 30 days due to TKO loss
  • Drew Dober: Suspended 30 days due to left eyebrow
  • Frank Camacho: Suspended 30 days
  • Bobby Green: Suspended 30 days due to right knee pain
  • Erik Koch: Suspended 30 days due to left eye laceration
  • Mirsad Bektic: Suspended 30 days due to left leg pain
  • Godofredo Pepey: Suspended 30 days due to TKO loss
  • Mara Romero Borella: Suspended 30 days due to left elbow pain
  • Niko Price: Suspended 30 days due to laceration on right brow
