Some detractors and unbelievers of Mayor Duterte claimed that the success of 911 in the Philippines are just a myth but CNN Philippines belies their claim by reporting and witnessing how the Davao City Central 911 responded in an unbelievable time span.

The Davao City Central 911 can response within minutes from the time of call until the arrival of their personnel in the affected areas. Some personnel of the 911 even claimed that they could response as fast as 59 seconds.

According to Davao Tourism:

Davao City is one of only three areas in the world, after the United States and Canada, to have the Integrated Emergency Response System 911, a fully integrated, computerized response system linking the people of Davao City to the emergency resources of the government.

Its 24-member Urban Search and Rescue Team is trained to handle land and sea rescue, as well as recovery operations, while its Emergency Medical Technicians are among the best in the country in first-aid skills and patient transport care.
