Netizen Lambasts VP Leni on Her Comment of the Alleged Worst Christmas Gift by Pres. Rody Duterte

A concerned netizen, Krizette Laureta Chu lambast the Vice President of the Philippines, VP Leni Robredo on her recent comments against Pres. Rody Duterte. In an article posted by ABS-CBN, VP Leni Robredo noted that "Pres. Duterte's Martial Law comment is the worst Christmas gift" given to Filipinos.

Due to the statement released by VP Robredo against Pres. Rody Duterte, concerned netizen and an avid Duterte supporter, Krizette Laureta Chu reminded the VP why is it that more and more Filipinos really loved the President despite his unpopularity among the "disente" supporters of the Liberal Party.

According to the concerned netizen, despite the daily "warnings" of VP Robredo of the possible Martial Law to be implemented by Pres. Duterte, there is no outrage or fear from the general public.

The concerned netizen also noted that most Filipinos would rather have a dictatorship under Duterte than fake freedom under another LP-led government. Harsh, but true.

Here's the Complete Statement of Krizette Laureta Chu:

Dear VP Leni,

You know why there is no outrage or fear from the general public despite your daily "warnings" of martial law?

Because most Filipinos would rather have a dictatorship under Duterte than fake freedom under another LP-led government. Harsh, but true.

For your sake, I hope you understand just how unwelcome the LP is in this country.

Nobody wants Martial Law, but if Filipinos were pushed into a corner, and asked to choose between the grey void of a Duterte dictatorship and the swirling blackness of an LP-led government, madam, millions would jump into the grey void faster than you can say "Nakakaririmarim."

I'm sure there's a part of you that will understand why a homeless survivor of Typhoon Yolanda would rather choose Duterte over you, even if you represent all "Cory-ish" (image projection) qualities--saintly, kind, pure--and he represents the exact opposite. I'm sure you won't take it against the Filipino people who are waiting for the free tuition/hospitalization with bated breath if they chose someone who can deliver. Aminin natin, if your own life were in danger, you would choose a Duterte over a Leni, di ba?

You really want the best for this country? Then cut the strings that tie you to your useless, greedy, manipulative party.

You want the best for this country? Then play fair! Call out your partymates like Leila de Lima and other LP lawmakers reportedly involved in drugs. Call them out if you really work for the people and not for the LP party.

OK lang sa inyo as a lawyer and as a VP na bastos si Leila at hindi pinapansin ang summon? As an elected official of this country and the leader of the political party of which she is a member, you should also use your voice to berate your own members, or anything else you say loses its power because you have lost credibility, favoring a few.

When the day comes that many of us decide to fight Duterte when and if he abuses his power, we would want to do it alongside a real hero of the people, not a puppet who will just shuffle us along from one tyranny to the next.

Tagalugin ko na lang para malinaw: SUKANG SUKANG SUKANG SUKA NA KAMI SA LP. KUNG HINDI HO KAYO LALAYAS SA LP, WAG NA HO KAYONG UMASANG SUSUPORTAHAN NAMIN KAYO KAHIT KAILAN. MAGHAHANAP NA LANG KAMI NG IBANG HIHINGAN NG TULONG.

And yes, stop, please. All these everyday statements make you seem lamer and lamer and lamer by the minute. Use your voice for real opposition. The more you talk, the more you dilute its power. Hindi ho namin kailangan malaman ang running commentaries ninyo. Yung mga gaya nito: "Worst gift for Christmas" statement. Parang walang sense na.

Nakakaririmarim.

Apple named ‘most innovative’ company by a magazine

© Provided by IBT US Apple has just been named as the “Most Innovative” company of 2018 by a business magazine. The reasons cited why the Cupertino giant emerged triumphant on the list included the company’s ability to design processors that are optimized for its latest hardware and software.  Fast Company published Tuesday its list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018 in the consumer electronics sector and Tim Cook’s company was the one that snagged the top spot. The publication indicated in the list that the main reason why Apple ranked the highest was because it produced the “phone of the future” for today’s market.  The magazine also published a lengthy explanation on why Apple is worth the “most innovative” title this year. According to Fast Company, the Cupertino giant had a notable 2017 due to the stellar performances of the wireless AirPods and the Apple Watch Series 3 and the launch of its own AR platform, ARKit, as well as the release of the outst...

You can pay at a restaurant by smiling at a camera

© Provided by Engadget As easy as it is to make purchases in the era of tap-to-pay services , it's about to get easier still. Alipay (which handles purchases for Chinese shopping giant Alibaba) has launched what it says is the first payment system that uses facial recognition to complete the sale. If you visit one of KFC's KPRO restaurants in Hangzhou, China, you can pay for your panini or salad by smiling at a camera-equipped kiosk -- you need to verify the purchase on your phone, but you don't have to punch in digits or bring your phone up to an NFC reader. The system (Smile to Pay) is purportedly resistant to spoofing with photos and other tricks. It relies on both depth-sensing cameras and a "likeness detection algorithm" to make sure it's really you. Reportedly, the technology is good enough that it can accurately identify people even when they're disguising themselves through makeup or wigs. You shouldn't have to worry about someone buying ...

DOF opposes tiered approach to tax on sugary drinks

© Provided by Mediamerge Corporation MONEY- Tax thumbnail The Department of Finance (DOF) is not amenable to Senator Juan Edgardo Angara's suggestion to implement the proposed levy on sugar sweetened beverages via a three-tier system. "We oppose the tiered approach. Meaning 'yung first seven grams will be tax free and then after that would be taxable," Finance Undersecretary Karl Chua said during the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP) Economic Forum in Manila on Friday. Chua note the tiered approach may compel manufacturers to come up with smaller packaging. "So you can drink three of them with no taxes," the Finance official said. It will defeat the purpose of imposing excise tax on sugary drinks as a health measure, he added. During deliberations on the comprehensive tax reform bill, Angara floated the idea of implementing the excise tax on sugar sweetened beverages under a three-tier system to incentivize those who manufactu...
