Pres. Duterte Warns AMLC Officials Who Were "Brothers" of Sen. De Lima to Resign Because of Corruption

The tough-talking President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rodrigo "Rody" Duterte warns and attacked official of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) officials who were allegedly "brothers" of Sen. De Lima to resign from office because of corruptions.

Pres. Duterte accused the alleged AMLC officials anew for being uncooperative with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) an agency under the Department of Justice, in their investigation of suspected drug criminals.

During a speech in the ceremonial signing of the 2017 national budget in Malacañang, Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying "I am warning again, Central Bank, for the second time.... Hanggang ngayon, there is no report of this AMLC. You know, I am going to charge all of you, criminally," Pres. Duterte said.

The former Mayor of Davao City added further that "I'll count one to three and if you do not resign, I will treat you as a drug addict. You're contributing to the corruption to the country," Duterte said.

The 71-year-old President explained further about what the AMLC officials submitted. He stated "You have reported to the NBI and submitted it very late, yet you do not have the assessment report. Kaya ko kayo nilagay diyan mga--kaya kayo nilagay dyan kasi may trabaho kayo. If you cannot do your job get out from that office because I'm--I'll transfer to the Bank of China. Eh mas marami iyong pera doon. Or Bank of America," he added.

The very first President from Mindanao warns further that he will bring down the corrupt officials of AMLC and promised to give them a whack because they are all corrupt and are not supposed to engage in politics.

According to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, Pres. Rody Duterte was just referring to the three officials in the AMLC. These officials involves working in the Office of the Executive Director, the Deputy and other other one is the head of investigation of AMLC.

Sec. Aguirre revealed further that two of those already identified by Pres. Duterte are "brothers" of Senator Leila de Lima. The DOJ Secretary was quoted as saying "One is Atty. Salido. The one I cannot remember the name. I'm sure he was referring to that, kasi hanggang ngayon stonewalling eh, ni hindi pa binibigay iyong may assesment, iyong may analysis noong account. Iyong binibigay lang sa amin iyong may statement of accounts katulad noong sa bangko," he said.  "Magagamit namin iyon, pero balewala sa amin iyon. Iyong account ni De Lima, iyong mga drug lord," he added.

You can pay at a restaurant by smiling at a camera

© Provided by Engadget As easy as it is to make purchases in the era of tap-to-pay services , it's about to get easier still. Alipay (which handles purchases for Chinese shopping giant Alibaba) has launched what it says is the first payment system that uses facial recognition to complete the sale. If you visit one of KFC's KPRO restaurants in Hangzhou, China, you can pay for your panini or salad by smiling at a camera-equipped kiosk -- you need to verify the purchase on your phone, but you don't have to punch in digits or bring your phone up to an NFC reader. The system (Smile to Pay) is purportedly resistant to spoofing with photos and other tricks. It relies on both depth-sensing cameras and a "likeness detection algorithm" to make sure it's really you. Reportedly, the technology is good enough that it can accurately identify people even when they're disguising themselves through makeup or wigs. You shouldn't have to worry about someone buying ...

Tesla cloud account hacked to mine cryptocurrency

© Provided by The Hill An unidentified outside hacker infiltrated Tesla's Amazon cloud account and used its systems to quietly mine for cryptocurrencies, a cybersecurity firm announced Tuesday. The hack also potentially exposed the electric car company's data. Researchers for RedLock found that Tesla's credentials on an IT administrative console were not password protected. They made the discovery while trying to track down which organizations had left their Amazon Web Services (AWS) credentials openly exposed on the internet last month. The hackers quietly hijacked the console and began running scripts to generate virtual currency like bitcoin, the latest in a series of "cryptojacking" attacks. The researchers also found the hackers used "sophisticated evasion measures" to go undetected. A spokesperson for Tesla said the company learned about the breach in a company-sanctioned bug bounty program that pays outside hackers to discover vulnerabilitie...
