Archers whip Tigers to get back on winning track

The DLSU Green Archers shot a high 52 percent from the field to deliver a 115-86 domination of the UST Growling Tigers on Saturday.

Eight Archers combined for La Salle's 30 first quarter points, before Ben Mbala and Andrei Caracut combined for 21 in the second to give the Taft-based squad a 60-42 lead at the half.

Prince Rivero then led the charge for DLSU in the second, scoring nine to stretch his team's lead to 85-63 heading into the fourth.

Steve Akomo and Wendell De Guzman conspired for 17 big points in the fourth for UST, but the Archers had Ricci Rivero, Santi Santillan, and Mbala combining for 20 to give DLSU the easy victory.

Mbala finished the game with 29 points, while Caracut and Santillan tallied 14 and 13 points, respectively. Prince Rivero was also in double figures with 11, as all but Christian Gonzales scored for La Salle.

Wendell De Guzman paced UST with 18, while Steve Akomo and Jordan Sta. Ana chipped in 14 and 14 points, respectively. — DVM, GMA News

Tesla cloud account hacked to mine cryptocurrency

© Provided by The Hill An unidentified outside hacker infiltrated Tesla's Amazon cloud account and used its systems to quietly mine for cryptocurrencies, a cybersecurity firm announced Tuesday. The hack also potentially exposed the electric car company's data. Researchers for RedLock found that Tesla's credentials on an IT administrative console were not password protected. They made the discovery while trying to track down which organizations had left their Amazon Web Services (AWS) credentials openly exposed on the internet last month. The hackers quietly hijacked the console and began running scripts to generate virtual currency like bitcoin, the latest in a series of "cryptojacking" attacks. The researchers also found the hackers used "sophisticated evasion measures" to go undetected. Apple named ‘most innovative’ company by a magazine

The reasons cited why the Cupertino giant emerged triumphant on the list included the company’s ability to design processors that are optimized for its latest hardware and software.  Fast Company published Tuesday its list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018 in the consumer electronics sector and Tim Cook’s company was the one that snagged the top spot.
