Chi Ikeh and Vince Tolentino tallied career-high numbers as the Ateneo Blue Eagles secured a 96-83 victory against the NU Bulldogs to stay as the only unbeaten team in the UAAP Men's Basketball competition.

Former Blue Eaglet Enzo Joson teamed up with Jayjay Alejandro early to give NU a 25-21 first quarter lead, but Ikeh and Mike Nieto countered in the second period to nudge the Eagles ahead at the half, 47-43.

In the second half, NU struggled to match Ateneo's offense, with Alejandro and Issa Gaye carrying most of the team's load. The Eagles ended up outscoring the Bulldogs 49-40 in the last 20 minutes, enough to give the Eagles another win.

Ikeh tied his career high 18 points with 11 rebounds to lead the Eagles, while Vince Tolentino had his best outing with 15 markers. Nieto brothers Matt and Mike, meanwhile, had 12 points each.

Jayjay Alejandro paced NU with 24 points, while Enzo Joson and Issa Gaye scored 14 apiece. — DVM, GMA News
