The event is scheduled for the iconic Impact Arena, the site where ONE Championship has made a home for its world-class martial arts production. Although Kru Rong has no opponent announced as of yet, he believes he is just a couple of wins away from challenging for the strawweight title which he lost to Japanese warrior Yoshitaka Naito in May last year.

“I am ready to continue my quest in becoming the best martial artist I can be,” said Kru Rong.

The 38-year-old is a Lumpinee stadium Muay Thai legend who transitioned to professional martial arts competition in 2014. Among his early accomplishments in the cage include winning ONE Championship’s inaugural strawweight title with a five-round Technical Decision win over the Philippines’ Roy Doliguez in May of 2015.

The Thai veteran is currently riding a two-bout winning streak and is ready to showcase his skills once again in front of his hometown crowd. Despite not knowing who he is up against at the moment, Kru Rong says he has his eyes set on winning to spark another run at the title.

“Whoever I have to face, whoever they put in front of me, better be ready for what I’m bringing into the cage,” said Kru Rong.

“I am proud to represent Thailand on the biggest international stage of competition.”

ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD features a bout between Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai (8-1, 1NC) of Bangkok and Rasul Yakhyaev (10-6, 1NC) of Russia in the night’s main event. Additional bouts have yet to be announced.

You can pay at a restaurant by smiling at a camera

© Provided by Engadget As easy as it is to make purchases in the era of tap-to-pay services , it's about to get easier still. Alipay (which handles purchases for Chinese shopping giant Alibaba) has launched what it says is the first payment system that uses facial recognition to complete the sale. If you visit one of KFC's KPRO restaurants in Hangzhou, China, you can pay for your panini or salad by smiling at a camera-equipped kiosk -- you need to verify the purchase on your phone, but you don't have to punch in digits or bring your phone up to an NFC reader. The system (Smile to Pay) is purportedly resistant to spoofing with photos and other tricks. It relies on both depth-sensing cameras and a "likeness detection algorithm" to make sure it's really you. Reportedly, the technology is good enough that it can accurately identify people even when they're disguising themselves through makeup or wigs. You shouldn't have to worry about someone buying ...
